MSC revokes ICE Orders following US transition

Winnipeg - On May 1, 2018 ICE Futures Canada Inc. announced they would be transitioning the trading and clearing of their canola contracts from ICE Futures Canada and ICE Clear Canada to ICE Futures US and ICE Clear US, pending regulatory approvals.

The Manitoba Securities Commission advises that the transition was completed on July 29, 2018. ICE Futures Canada Inc. and ICE Clear Canada Inc. are no longer carrying on business as an exchange and clearing house in Manitoba. 

The designation of ICE Clear Canada Inc. as a clearing agency was revoked by Commission Order No. 7457, effective August 13, 2018.

The recognition of ICE Futures Canada Inc. as a self-regulatory organization and exchange was revoked by Commission Order No. 7459, effective August 21, 2018.

The Manitoba Securities Commission is a division of the Manitoba Financial Services Agency, a Special Operating Agency of the Government of Manitoba that protects investors and promotes fair and efficient capital markets throughout the province.
